LivsmedelsSverige, FoodinSweden — a web site about food
Aim
LivsmedelsSverige is the natural starting point for everyone who wants up-to-date information about food and to contact others active in the food sector. The web site is directed to all those involved in the food chain: consumers, students, teachers, entrepreneurs, authorities, organisations and researchers.
LivsmedelsSverige chiefly targets users in Sweden, but some of the pages (research) also contain information in English.
LivsmedelsSverige provides independent and objective information about food for the benefit of the consumer, thereby contributing to increasing enthusiasm for and appreciation of food, as well as making it easier for the actors in the food arena to quickly reach each other with information.

On the board of LivsmedelsSverige are interested parties from Swedish National Food Administration, Swedish Food Entrepreneurs (Li), Federation of Swedish Farmers (LRF), Swedish Consumer Agency, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Swedish Federation of Grocery Trade, and the Swedish Hotel and Restaurant Association. On the board is also one representative from other universities that support Food in Sweden. These are: Kalmar university, Uppsala university, Lund Food Centre, Göteborg university, Örebro university, Umeå university, Kristianstad university. They are represented by one or severeral people. Also Formas contrubutes economically to LivsmedelsSverige.
LivsmedelsSverige is produced at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
There is also a reference group of representatives from the entire food chain linked to LivsmedelsSverige.

Responsibility for contributions to the discussion groups lies with the contributors. LivsmedelsSverige reserves the right to edit or remove contributions when the subject is irrelevant, or in some way breaks the law or regulations on use and ethics specified by SUNET.
